“NICOSIA”

United Nations soldiers can only photograph the green line during official visits. The only people to have carried out a systematic photographic survey are the architects of the Masterplan for Nicosia. […] The weight of economic interests in property and tourism is perhaps the only thing that manages to keep other problems at bay […] I could not directly photograph the infrastructures of separation in the city, as they are shrouded in military secrecy. […] I therefore carried out research amongst images by military photographers. […]
