CINZIA GRADELLINI The need to be a stranger in order to awaken the senses to a land that looks towards Europe, but carries the intense flavours of the East. A search for details discovered in spaces suspended between here and there: spices, dust, land, red, prayer, black, veil, sun, sacred…the sounds and silences of the market place, the light and dark of the mosques, the warmth of the land and the cool of marble. A rustle of fabric and the whisper of prayers that magically turn into song.
