READING THE CITY

Letters, alphabets, writing, numbers, colours and photos.  
Atelier for children.
Age groups: 4-7 Years

Curator: Giannino Stoppani Cooperativa Culturale, Bologna
Wth: Musei Civici di Reggio Emilia, DIDART and with ISIA Urbino, Specialistica Illustrazione.


This workshop proposes creating photographic alphabets, dictionaries of the symbols and colours that the city offers. Through pre-established itineraries within the historic centre, the work will search for letters, numbers and colours that will be documented in Polaroid photos. The images will be collected in special books that will be gradually displayed within the atelier. This experience provides direct contact with the city’s symbols and with photography as a language that is capable of working together with other languages.
