There will be various discussions on trends in contemporary photography during the morning programme.
2nd May. Giovanni De Luna will give a talk on Corpi per la storia contemporanea (Bodies in Contemporary History) and how photography has contributed to justice from the point of view of victims (10 am). Vanni Codeluppi, Daniele Del Pozzo, Nicola Dusi and Giovanna Galli will analyse Il corpo nell’immaginario collettivo contemporaneo (Collective Contemporary Imagery of the Body) “showcased” by the invasive nature of the media (11.30am).
3rd May. Giovanna Calvenzi, Mario Cresci, Martino Marangoni and Roberta Valtorta will discuss Tendenze della fotografia italiana (Trends in Italian Photography) (10am), while Marco Belpoliti, Elio Grazioli, Luca Molinari, Riccardo Panattoni, Adriana Polveroni and Pier Luigi Sacco will present Il Nuovo Spazio Gerra per la fotografia e l’immagine contemporanea (The New Spazio Gerra for Photography and the Contemporary Image) (11.30am), inaugurated as part of Fotografia Europea 2008.
4th May. The theologian Vito Mancuso will discuss a reinterpreted concept of Anima e corpo (Body and Soul) aimed at overcoming the dualism between spirit and substance (10am). Andrea Botto, Margherita Guccione, William Guerrieri and Roberta Valtorta will discuss landscape photography with reference to the exhibition Atlante Italiano 007 (Italian Atlas 007), commissioned and organised by PARC (11.30am).
