Quartiere Gardenia

Una Gardenia per il Primo May (A Gardenia for May 1st) is the title of the event offered in various spaces of the Gardenia Quarter, as part of Workers’ Day, to rediscover a symbolic area that was the industrial heart of Reggio Emilia and is today a strategic area of urban development. The programme includes Anteprima RED Reggio Emilia Danza with performances by Aterballetto, MM Company and Compagnia Ltd. Photography exhibitions have been produced with the inhabitants by Teatro dei/nei Quartieri as part of the Periferica project. There is also the open-air installation Treni, stazioni,officine,palazzi:il quartiere Gardenia si racconta and complementary initiatives to combine art and photography, dance and performance, in an evening of celebration dedicated to work and to the town.
