Vittore Fossati’s task was to produce a photographic study of the natural landscape near construction work about to be completed. After some reconnaissance, Fossati focussed his attention on the bridges over the Taro and Po Rivers. The fluvial landscape of the Po, near the cable-stayed bridge, seems to be a key feature in the perception of a landscape that is slowly forming around one of the main infrastructures of the high speed line.
