Being in New York and seeing, finding the subject, and finally looking at it. Once we have these three premises, there is nothing to prevent the photograph from being “taken”. Gazing beyond seeing, where “direct” visions and “sub-perceptions” alternate, and where the subject in some cases is man, in others the mystery of the place, and in others still, a synthesis of the signs of man who inhabits these places.
