A landscape of cranes along the horizon, all the shapes of the world in the small suburb of San Maurizio: life, organic or otherwise, is expressed with deep awareness in the work of Alex Orlandini. Both a scientist and an artist, Orlandini depicts the real with the emotiveness of someone who still knows how to gather fragments of reality with a desire to discover its usual but hitherto unrevealed aspects. Torrid profiles in the humid air of the valley are the stage sets for dialogues and raise questions about the future of our city and the daily life of its inhabitants.
