This exhibition is the result of 5 years of work and is a precious testimony of these lands inhabited by people whose dress and customs recall those of ancient Tibet as described in the epic poem of Gesar of Ling. This is Eastern Tibet, inhabited by nomads and by warriors who remained hidden for over 50 between the pages of the diaries of the few travellers who, in the early twentieth century, dared to cross these lands for adventure or because of their passion for science, to discover a dangerous world cloaked in mystery. The exhibition is accompanied by a splendid volume of photography entitled “Tibet viaggiatori nell’oriente ignoto” (Tibet – Travellers in the Unknown Orient”).
