The second edition of the Jazzin’ Fontanesi event is totally dedicated to “manouche jazz” born from the fusion of American 1930s Jazz with the sounds of gypsy tradition, headed by musician Django Reinhardt who more than 50 years after his death continues to charm the crowds. From 1st to 3rd May, manouche music in the historical Piazza Fontanesi offers visitors a chance to discover the typical atmosphere of the squares of southern France, where music, tradition, places and flavours lie at the centre of this universe. Jazzin’ Fontanesi sees the participation of the most talented interpreters of this jazz repertoire: 1st May the DjangoMania ensemble, followed by the 8 Ball Records dj set, 2nd May Django’s fingers followed by the Collettivo Parma elettronica dj set and finally, 3rd May the Giovanna Dazzi duo

 

Music and photography market fair

In Piazza Fontanesi on Saturday 2nd May from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m, the Music and Photography market fair, where fans can enjoy and exchange rare items for their music and photography collections.

The dj set in Piazza Casotti is a small event which studies the universe of sound and visual languages with the use of video shows and sound installations. A festival within the festival which begins on Friday 1^st May with the king of electronic music, funky/soul interpreted by dj moreno (deep soul), Saturday 2nd May moving on to audio-visual experimentation with cassaday (Degola/Tavernelli) and reaching, on Sunday 3^rd May the electronic music of the sophisticated duo simon & aka (chilled electronic).
