Luigi Ghirri
Sinagoga
30 April - 7 June 2009
curated by Paola Borgonzoni Ghirri
FINO ALL'INIZIO DEL MONDO
“The mystery and uncanny of the last pictures taken by Luigi Ghirri characterise the exhibition-tribute dedicated to this great artist.” “An exhibition by Luigi with a single photograph" is a long-coming project by his friend Vittorio Savi which has finally taken shape. This unique and last photograph, which will be presented with a story written by Beppe Sebaste for this special occasion, invites us to go back to a key point in Luigi Ghirri’s poetics: a reflection on time and infinity.
BIOGRAPHY
Luigi Ghirri (Scandiano, Reggio Emilia, 1943 – Roncocesi, Reggio Emilia, 1992) worked as a photographer for over twenty years, from 1970 to 1992.
