How to get to Fotografia Europea - Reggio Emilia 2011
By car
Leave the A1 motorway at the Reggio Emilia exit and follow signs for the city centre.
By train
You can take buses 4, 9 and minibus E to the historic town centre (piazza del Monte). There is also a taxi rank outside the station (tel. 0522.452245).
By public transport
Viale Allegri (with numbers 1,4,5,10,12,13 and minibus G and E).

Bike Sharing
Rental of bicycles, Piazza Martiri del 7 Luglio: free rental during the opening days of Fotografia Europea (from 6th thru 8th of May).
From 9th of May free rental just for those who own the ticket for the exhibitions of Fotografia Europea (Fotografia Europea ticket allows the utilisation of bicycle just for one day). Bicycles can be withdrawn next to the ticket office (200 free bicycles available).
This service is available during the opening time of the ticket office in Cloisters of Sa.
PedalaRE - automated shared bike rental service functioning through a ticket fee avaliable at the ACT ticket offices (price of card 15 € + minimal recharging 5€; free for the first half an hour) located in ACT ticket offices: at Bus station “Caserma Zucchi” (Viale Allegri) and C.I.M. (Piazzale Europa).
In town there are currently 13 rental stations that are located at: Cecati car park, Gasometro car park, Station, Via Don Andreoli, Piazza Frumentaria, Santa Maria Nuova hospital , Polveriera car park, Foro Boario car park, Caserma Zucchi car park, Piazzale Roversi, Piazza Gioberti, Piazza della Vittoria, Via Emilia San Pietro (corner Via Giorgione).

Car parks
Via Cecati (free): located in the street with the same name, about 500 metres from the centre, it is easily reachable from Castelnovo ne’ Monti (S.S. 63), from Sassuolo-Scandiano (S.S. 467) and from Albinea, Cavriago, Montecchio and San Polo. The entrance is in via Cecati.
Foro Boario (free): located in the North of the city, approx. 700 metres from the centre, it is easily reachable from Mantua (S.S. 63), from the motorway (A1) and from Parma along Via Emilia (S.S. 9) by using the Northern ring-road (tangenziale) (Piazza Tien An Men). Entrances are in Via XX Settembre and Via Fratelli Manfredi.
Caserma Zucchi (payment): located 200 metres from the town centre, it can be reached from viale Isonzo, coming from Modena and Parma and by following via Emilia (S.S. 9) from viale Regina Elena for vehicles coming from Guastalla-Mantua (S.S. 63) and for those who come from the motorway (A1)
Polveriera (free): located in the East of the city next to Mirabello stadium, approx. 500 metres from the centre, it can be reached from Modena (S.S. 9) and from Sassuolo-Scandiano (S.S. 467), Carpi-Correggio (S.S. 468) by using the Eastern ring-road (via del Partigiano). Entrances are in via Olimpia.
Gasometro (payment, free from 8.00 pm): located on Via Pansa, a street crossing the ring road in front of the public Garden, is about 100 meters from city center, and is distributed over four floors.
Center Zone: every wednesday afternoon parking is free in the blue marked areas of auxiliary lanes and in areas outside the city center. The following parking areas: Piazzale Fiume, Porta Castello, Via dei Servi and Cappuccini zone are not included.
