Trilogia cromatica

Their photos have always, even in previous Fotografia Europea festivals, made us smile, moved us and cheered us up, and have offered different perspectives through which to revisit things and ponder a dimension – that of childhood – that is at once familiar and mysterious. This year, the exhibit of photographs taken by children and young pupils from preschool through to junior high school, participating in the Fotografia Europea Festival for the fourth year running, is part of a broader project of ateliers open to the city. The photography sets at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre will be generating works inspired by white, green and red, which will be producing a constantly evolving exhibit at two concurrent venues: the International Centre and the Cloisters of San Pietro. Children love colours and have a sophisticated perception of them: we started off with questions about the Italian flag, the focus of considerable curiosity, and then went on to the three colours that make it up, to spark off a project which, as always happens when working with children, will have to accept the unknown in terms of its possible evolution.
