UN'EPOPEA FOTOGRAFIICA -  Palazzo Magnani
L'ALTA MODA. GLI ANNI CONDÉ NAST, 1923-1927 - Chiostri di San Domenico
curated by William A. Ewing, Todd Brandow and Natalie Herschdorfer, for the Musée de l'Elysée of Losanna and the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography of Minneapolis (USA)
promoted by: Palazzo Magnani, Provincia di Reggio Emilia
in collaboration with: Comune di Reggio Emilia

Palazzo Magnani hosts an exhibition of the entire career of Edward Steichen (1879-1973), with many vintage shots from American and European museums and private collections. Steichen was a prolific artist and a true innovator in many areas of photography and made his mark on history. The exhibition at the Chiostri di San Domenico will contain over two hundred photographs that Steichen created during his collaboration with Condé Nast: images from the world of high fashion and the leading stars of Hollywood which were regularly published in "Vogue" and "Vanity Fair".

As well as original productions and the section dedicated to the works of masters from past generations to the present day, the exhibition programme of Fotografia Europea 2008 includes two prestigious exhibitions by two important protagonists from the world of photography: Edward Steichen and Bettina Rheims
