The city’s main square is turned into a theatre en plein air with a show bursting with music, dance and video screenings of photographs coming from the Rencontres de Bamako. The live set presented by Nitin Sawhney, one of today’s most versatile talents on the music scene, is at the hub of the performance. Producer and composer, Sawhney contaminates traditional sounds and classic music with electronic experiments and tribal rhythms taken from a wide variety of musical territories.
